PRODUCTION OF
JELLY, SAUCES AND PUREE FRUITS

This website is to show any prospective buyer the reason why this production facility has been placed onto the market and the reason present owner is selling below the company's present value and when one considers the future potential of this business it is well below it's real value.

The present director purchased the business in mid 1999 which was then producing a range of sauces ( buying the sauce in and then repacking under their own label ).

This was quite a lucrative business but needed additional sales to keep overheads at a substainable level. In mid 2000 to achieve this a much larger company was purchased which was producing puree fruits and ready to eat jellies plus jelly crystals.

The owner of that company was to act as a consultant and expand both companies over the next eighteen months to what was discussed as the objective of the present Director.

A lot of money was then invested during the next eighteen months up-grading buildings, packaging, machinery and other areas including merchandising. The business was expanding rapidly in several directions when the consultant decided to go into another project.

Virtually at the same time the merchandiser did not fulfill his obligations and let the company down in many ways resulting in loss of orders from the chains and other outlets that were being serviced.

The loss of the key employer ( consultant ) and the merhandiser not fulfilling his obligations, placed an enormous workload on the director, resulting in health problems which he still has not fully recovered.

As the present director was not capable ( due to health problems ) to put sufficient time into maintaining the production and sale of the products, the production progressively declined to the point where the director took his doctors advice and ceased manufacturing.

What Is Being Sold:

All machinery and equipment as detailed on the Machinery List.

One eight pack consists of four blue bubblegum flavour and four pink lemonade flavour. The other eight pack consists of four pink bubble gum flavour and four cola flavour.

3. Production of Jelly Crystals ~ ready to add water (similar to Aeroplane Jelly). Each pack contains two sachets each 44g = 88g nett per pack, in flavours of strawberry and lime, orange and jungle fruits, raspberry and port wine and cherry and lemonade.

4. Production of Sauces ~ was a major seller for the company but was neglected when the company purchased their second business and orders were lost. Three lines of sauces were produced being tartare, honey garlic chili and seafood each packed into 100g tubs.

5. Puree Fruit ~ this production was also neglected during the building up of the jelly business even though they were planning to greatly increase this area of production. The ambition was to produce a puree fruit baby food in flavours of apple, apple and raspberry also apple and peaches.

6. Contract Packaging ~ was a very lucrative money-maker during the past twelve months using the sachet machine to pack 18g of powder into sachets.

All machinery and equipment as outlined on the machinery list is in working condition and where possible any fault that would not be obvious to a machinery valuator has been detailed on the machinery list.

Where machinery is known to have parts missing or need modification to do a particular product, this will also be shown on the machinery list, example: could need some modification to produce products such as trifle ( adding the dry product ~ cake ).

Recipes:

Recipes and methods of production will be available on purchase.

Stock:

There is no value placed on 'stocks on hand' but it will be up to the purchaser to dispose of any stock left in building that the present owner felt could be of value.

Goodwill:

There is no goodwill included in price.

Employees:

The purchaser would have no problem in obtaining good labour from the surrounding areas and the present owner feels that his two main employees would only be too willing to be re-employed by a new owner
.

Most work performed is of a simple nature and employees should be able to adapt to running the machines and manufacturing products to recipes supplied, or learning most work place skills within two to three weeks of starting.

Basically two persons would be required to run each Production Line.

There is ample machinery to run four Lines at the one time, example: Jelly Cups, Jelly Crystals, Jelly Tubes and Sauces, resulting in eight persons required to run the four Lines on a continuous basis.

Also the present director has stated that he will assist where possible to ensure that the transfer to the new owner runs as smooth as possible.
